Economic Strategy: Building a Sovereign and Inclusive Haitian Future

Pi Bon Ayiti’s economic plan is a bold and structured roadmap to transform Haiti into a resilient, inclusive, and globally competitive republic. Grounded in principles of sovereignty and social equity, the strategy unites housing, tourism, industrialization, natural resources, agriculture, and diaspora engagement into a single development framework. Its goal isn’t just economic growth—it’s shared prosperity for every Haitian, at home and abroad.

At the heart of this transformation are five flagship programs: Kay Ayiti (housing), Touris Lakay (tourism), Ti Pa Gwo Pa (industry), Byen Nou (mining and energy), and Manje Lakay (agriculture and fisheries). Each initiative is designed to create jobs, attract investment, and build infrastructure while protecting culture and the environment. Housing is tailored for all social classes, tourism zones are regulated to prevent displacement, industrial blocks empower local entrepreneurs, and resource extraction is governed by sovereign licensing and community benefit models.

The agriculture program, Manje Lakay, is a cornerstone of this strategy. It activates thousands of hectares of farmland through cooperative models, greenhouse farming, livestock, aquaculture, and agro-processing. It strengthens food sovereignty, stabilizes rural communities, and connects producers to national and export markets via Devlopman Mache Lakay (DML). Agriculture is not peripheral—it’s foundational to territorial inclusion and economic resilience.

The economic impact is transformative. These programs will generate millions of jobs across construction, hospitality, manufacturing, logistics, and agriculture. They expand Haiti’s tax base, reduce import dependency, and formalize informal markets. Diaspora investment is encouraged through structured units with guaranteed returns, turning remittances into productive capital. Public-private partnerships are regulated by national law to ensure transparency and accountability.

Socially, Pi Bon Ayiti is a declaration of dignity. It prioritizes access to housing, employment, and education while protecting vulnerable communities from speculation and exploitation. Women and youth are given priority in entrepreneurship and vocational training. Urban renewal is paired with cultural preservation, and infrastructure is designed to serve both economic and human development.
