Aksyon Sivik – National Civic Engagement Plan

Civic Action: A Movement for Dignity and Development

Civic Action is a national plan to build a culture of responsibility, environmental respect, and community solidarity. It invites all sectors of Haitian society to engage in voluntary efforts that directly contribute to national development and social change.

Each commune, neighborhood, and rural section will have its own Civic Action chapter, led by trained coordinators. These chapters organize monthly activities, coordinate volunteers, and serve as hubs for donations, training, and awareness.

The plan encourages all residents to contribute their time based on their skills: teachers for civic education, doctors for public health, workers for infrastructure, artists for cultural engagement. Schools and universities will include civic hours in their programs to mobilize youth.

National campaigns will target harmful public behaviors—like littering, smoking, or skipping lines—using posters, radio, street theater, and social media to promote peer accountability and civic values.

Environmental efforts include reforestation, drainage systems, rainwater tanks, and pollution prevention. The plan mobilizes Konbit Lakay, local schools, and the diaspora for materials and expertise.

Community donations and diaspora support will strengthen resources, with transparent local accounting. Businesses, churches, and institutions are invited to support local chapters.

The plan unfolds in three phases: launch and awareness, expansion across the territory, and consolidation with evaluation. Each year, Civic Awards will honor the most active chapters, and national reports will track progress.

Civic Action is more than a program—it’s a movement of conscience. It’s rooted in dignity, discipline, and development. It calls every Haitian to help heal the nation and turn everyday habits into patriotic acts.
